Comment *Also being widowed, I have lost all sense of center and am at the edge of everything. I keep thinking that I need to find center again, but this writing is challenging that thought. It has taken me a long time to learn that ‘the center’ we long for is only ever found in Christ. Therefore, whether we are in the most remote or busiest of locations we are never left with a feeling of being on the periphery. As we truly learn to walk with Jesus,we walk and live with the centre. Anything else is an illusion. The question I have found myself asking when I have felt on the periphery is how am I perceiving that Christ is not sufficient for me here? As I seek Him, and am willing to patiently wait for Him, I am led into precious places of community with others that foster a sense of belonging in unexpected ways and places. Reminding me that our Father does not show favouritism which opens up endless opportunities.

Thank you Brian,
I relate totally to what you have written, if I go back over my life, although I have been at the centre on many occasions, I relate to actually always feeling a though I’m on the edge. After losing my husband, this has been even more so, finding the new you, yet finding that you still don’t really fit, apart of yet separate, belonging, cared for, involved yet on the edge; yet it’s ok to be on the edge. To know oneself to know God to know you are accepted just as you are.
