I heard someone say, “Lord I am ready to go but willing to stay”. I am now 81 years old and since the death of Ellis (my husband) 4 years ago, I have learnt so many new things, done others that I didn’t expect. It has been a sad but exciting time because God knows what’s best. All I must do is follow. So, my prayer is “Lord I am ready to go but willing to stay if you lead and guide me – all for Your Glory”.

As a 65 year old, I can say your comments ring very true to me too. Numbering our days takes on a new significance when you realise there are fewer in front of you than there are behind.
